HOW DOES IT WORK
Tixel provides one of the most advanced fractional skin resurfacing treatments on the market, providing extraordinary results comparable to C02 laser and deep chemical peels but with minimal discomfort and downtime and faster recovery times.
The Tixel works by transferring direct controlled heat, with a gentle touch of the titanium tip, to the skins surface, creating tiny micro channels in the skin.
This triggers the skins natural healing response which in turn stimulates the production of collagen, to help tighten the skin, soften lines and wrinkles, providing a more even skin tone, resulting in a more youthful skin!
A consultation and completion of a medical questionnaire form, as well as a free test patch is required prior to any Tixel treatment being carried out – this allows for a full explanation of the procedure and expected results and the after-care advise.
The therapists will be able to provide you with recommendations as to which type, and level of treatment is best suited to your specific needs.

MESOTHERAPY ‘OPEN CHANNEL’ GENTLE TREATMENT
This level of treatment combines the skin tightening and resurfacing benefits of a Tixel treatment, but with no downtime, and with the open channels created in the upper layers of skin, this allows for enhanced absorption of medical grade topical solutions to be applied to directly address specific skin concerns. This results in collagen stimulation and overall improved skin tone and texture.
Treatment is very comfortable, taking 30 minutes for a full face, with temporary redness and a mild heat sensation following treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours. Patients can resume normal activities the following day.

MEDIUM/HIGH LEVEL TIXEL TREATMENT
Treatment at these levels is generally well tolerated without the need for topical anaesthetic cream, however this is an option if preferred. At these levels, results after the completion of the recommended course of 4 treatments, is comparable to those of C02 laser resurfacing or a deep chemical peel. Treatment on the medium to higher level results in collagen remodelling, significantly improved quality, texture and elasticity of the skin, reduced lines and wrinkles and generally a more smooth and tighter skin.
Treatment takes 30-45 minutes depending on which area(s) are treated.
Following the treatment, you will experience a sunburn sensation lasting no more than an hour post treatment, possible temporary swelling, and redness lasting a few days. Tiny brown micro-crusts may be evident after a few days, which can last up to a week but can be easily concealed with makeup.
Depending on treatment intensity, the downtime is between 3-5 days with resolution of any redness and micro-crusts within 3-10 days.
An after-care products pack and instructions is provided for treatment on the medium/Intense level. Patients can resume their normal activities after 3 days.
